History

1The Port Arthur shopping center, which dates back to 1997, is renowned for its well-being in Pärnu County and beyond. The center is located directly in the heart of Pärnu, on the border of the Old Town and in the immediate vicinity of the bus station and the concert hall. One of the houses in the center is based on the ruins of a historic building, where architects have skillfully combined old and new. In the old building, the center has also got its name – this house gathered Estonian men at the beginning of the 20th century to send them to the Russian-Japanese war. Port Artur 2 is, however, a completely new and modern building built on the former railway track.

Port Artur Shopping Center is a modern and popular shopping mall in Pärnu. The two houses have a total area of 20,000 square meters, of which, in turn, 80% are retail space. The Port Artur 2 House is a modern and interesting solution and offers great experiences for the whole family. On May 10, 2012, the Port Artur 1 house, which had undergone a four-month deep internal and external renovation, was re-opened. Port Arturi’s two houses today offer their goods and services a total of about 80 different companies, thus Port Artur is one of Pärnu’s largest and most trusted shopping malls.

In the coming years, it is planned to build another large leisure and shopping center on the river, with a total area of about 70000 square meters, enough places for cars and leisure opportunities for the whole family. Port Artur is a family-friendly and pleasant hometown for thousands of people since 19971.
